| Description |
English: Traffic on New York's Times Square. This place is also iconified as "The Crossroads of the World" and the "The Great White Way" It is the brightly illuminated hub of the Broadway theater district, and is one of the world's busiest pedestrian intersections. Broadway apart, I found Times Square rather overly hyped, having visited Hong Kong in 2002 (and upon reflection, after my Feb. 2012 visit to HK). Here, one district is full of glitz, in HK, Asia's World City, the whole city is like this, full of life, action and bright neon. (New York, USA, Oct. 2006) |
