English: Tindur is a 514 meter high mountain in Suðuroy, Faroe Islands. Here it is seen from the west coast of Suðuroy, west of the village Trongisvágur and the tunnel to Hvalba. This place is called Røðin or Á Røðini. This place, or a little bit further south, is called Trongisvágsbotnur, sometimes it is spelled Trungisvágsbotnur (The bottom of Trongisvágur). The village Trongisvágur is a few km further east, lying around the fjord Trongisvágsfjørður. Just north of this mountain is another mountain called Nakkur (The Neck).
Føroyskt: Henda myndin er tikin vesturi á Røðini, sum er vestanfyri Trongisvág og vestanfyri Hvalbiartunnilin Trongisvágs meðna. Fjallið eitur Tindur og er 514 metrar høgt. Beint norðanfyri tað er eitt annað fjall sum eitur Nakkur, tað er 547 metrar høgt. Trongisvágsbotnur er beint sunnanfyri Røðina. Frá Røðini síggjast bjørg, stakkar og sker. Ein stórur kikari plagar at standa á hesum staði í summarhálvuni. Summi nevna staði Kikarin ella við Kikarin orsakað av hesum. |
