Description
English: Ruins of Tintern Limekiln, near Tintern, Wales. This limekiln was used from the 1700s and went out of use by 1902. According to the information sign, "Limekilns are a common feature of the Wye Valley because of the availability of limestone and plentiful supplies of charcoal as fuel."
