Español: Ficha de seguridad del tiosulfato de sodio pentahidratado, la forma más común (Na2S2O3 · 5H2O). En esta ficha se aprecia una pequeña muestra del compuesto, almacenada en un vial de vidrio. El tiosulfato de sodio es, técnicamente, seguro, por eso la muestra de la imagen fue manipulada sin mascarilla y sin guantes. Se recomienda fuertemente NO hacer esto. Siempre hay que cumplir con todas las medidas de seguridad, incluso con las sustancias en apariencia más inocentes. Del mismo modo, NO compre ni use esta sustancia sin fines científicos o investigativos. ¡Sea amigable con el medio ambiente!
La muestra se obtuvo de un frasco mayor. De depositó cada cristal del compuesto en el vial con ayuda de unas pinzas de acero inoxidable. Una vez el vial estuvo lleno, con ayuda de una jeringuilla con aguja se absorbió la máxima cantidad de aire del interior del frasco posible. Inmediatamente después se cerró el recipiente y se almacenó en un cajón oscuro, lejos de cualquier fuente de calor.
