English: The Tityus bahiensis, also known as Black Scorpion, Scorpion is one of Eastern and Central Brazil. It measures 6 cm in length, has a very dark color and brown paws. The species is responsible, in Brazil, the largest number of cases of scorpion poisoning in rural areas.
Português: O Tityus bahiensis, também conhecido como escorpião-preto, é um escorpião do Leste e Centro do Brasil. Mede 6 cm de comprimento, tem coloração muito escura e patas castanhas. A espécie é responsável, no Brasil, pelo maior número de casos de acidentes escorpiônicos em áreas rurais.
