English: To Kirby Muxloe from Desford Hall. On the public footpath looking north in the direction of Lawn Cottage and the Old House, Elms Farm. The properties date back to 1313 when they were known as Pakemansale, owned by Sir Simon Pakeman, Lord of the Manor of Kirby. His manor house was on the site of what is now Kirby Muxloe Castle.
