Summary
editDescriptionTo the Airfield - geograph.org.uk - 347411.jpg |
English: To the Airfield The road passes through the Camp Area to the south of the airfield and it is here that remains of many of the Nissen huts and other buildings which accommodated the USAAF personnel can be seen. The Airfield closed in 1946 but the road signs point to it as if it was still in operation. This is part of our history and the evidence is slowly disappearing.
