English: Inyo tonestus (Tonestus peirsonii), flowering perennial clump peeking out from a near-vertical rock crevice. This is a local plant endemic to the mountains of Inyo and Fresno counties of California, in this case near its original type location, at 10,400 ft (3,200 m) on the cliffs above Long Lake, Little Lakes Valley, John Muir Wilderness, Sierra Nevada USA.
