Summary edit
DescriptionTop end of the Wamphray Water showing section of the Southern Upland Way - geograph.org.uk - 1178346.jpg |
English: Top end of the Wamphray Water showing section of the Southern Upland Way Snow on the high hills where the Ettrick Valley meets the Wamphray Valley in february. The landscape still shows signs of a sheep farming past - stone dykes and pens - but is now dominated by commercial evergreen forestry. The forest is now itself being cut back from the watercourses as a more conservation oriented view takes ascendency. |
