This 7½ acres of coastal land was the generous gift of an anonymous donor and was received by Alderman A.L. Goodrich, as Chairman of the Council of the Torbay County Borough upon the granting of its charter on 1st April 1968 - for use thereafter as a park for the benefit of the public at large. |
