Français : Photo prise par F Lamiot, mise à disposition sous licence CC BY SA, en octobre 2001, de la tour à plomb de l'usine MÉTALEUROP-Nord (ex-PENNAROYA). C'est dans cette tour d'environ 60 m de haut (la photo ne donne pas une bonne idée de sa hauteur) que le plomb fondu était transformé en dizaines de milliards de billes de plomb vendues comme grenaille pour garnir les cartouches de chasse. Cette tour construite en 1924 a failli être classée, mais a finalement été abattue ainsi que la cheminée de 120 mètres de haut le 14 mars 2006, après la fermeture de l'usine abandonnée par le groupe GLENCORE à qui elle appartenait, dans le cadre de la dépollution du site par le Groupe SITA. Sur ce site qui a été l'une des premières sources de pollution de l'Europe de l'Ouest durant un siècle, des unités industrielles de recyclage et de tri des déchets doivent remplacer l'usine.voir aussi http://www.choeursdefondeurs.com/histoire/debut.php?feuille=6
