Notes
  • The Louvre's Grande Galerie, which was built from east to west, is shown completed as far as the Porte Neuve. The drawing shows its state sometime from 1603 to before 1610, when the Grande Galerie is believed to have reached the Pavillon de Flore (Lowry 1956, pp. 103–104).
  • The drawing also depicts the Place Dauphine, which was constructed from 1609 to 1613 (Ballon 1991, p. 147).
