Электрический ток от источника (слева) идёт по рельсовым нитям к путевому реле, управляющему светофором. В отсутствие подвижного состава на блок-участке путевое реле запитано и светофор показывает разрешающее показание. При коротком замыкании (шунтировании) рельсовой цепи колёсной парой подвижного состава сигнальный ток проходит через неё, а путевое реле обесточивается, переключая показание светофора на запрещающее.English: Greatly simplified track circuit giagram.
A track current source (left) powers a track relay (right) via rails. The track relay controls a light signal. While the block is clear, the relay stays powered and the signal shows 'Clear' aspect. When a piece of rolling stock occupies the block, its wheelsets short the rails allowing the current to bypass the relay which switches the signal to 'Stop'. |
