Summary edit
DescriptionTrackbed of disused railway, Minions, 1978 - geograph.org.uk - 64951.jpg |
English: Trackbed of disused railway, Minions, 1978. View adjacent to the road 500m NW of Minions, looking SE. This former mineral railway served numerous mines in the area. It commenced at Moorswater near Liskeard climbing to Darite, south of Minions and then made a wide sweep round the granite of Caradon Hill, pictured on the horizon. The trackbed emerges from the middle left side of the photo. The line continued northwards, past the Cheesewring quarries into Bodmin moor where the line (and the money) ran out. |
