Description
English: Traditional basketry goods have been a part of Lamu's customary artefacts for centuries. The material which is made from palm leaves is woven with expertise that has been passed down family lineages. It is environmental friendly, beautiful and convenient.
Kiswahili: Vikapu hivi vinavyotengenezwa kwa mikono vimekuwa katika asili ya maisha ya walamu kwa zaidi ya karne tano. Vinatengezwa kwa kutumia majani ya miti ya mikoma, mtapa na migune. Ujuzi huu umekuwa ukirithishwa kutoka kizazi hadi kizazi kingine. Vinatumik kubebea mizigo midogo na mikubwa kulingana na ukubwa wa mzigo. Haviathiri mazingira, vinavutia na ni rahisi kutumia.
