B = Gjenstanden får en fast omløpsbane rundt jordkloden (sirklingsfart, omløpshastighet). C = Gjenstanden har for høy hastighet til å gå inn i en umiddelbar omløpsbane, men ikke høy nok til å overvinne tyngdekraften fra jordkloden og vil etter hvert gå inn i en høyere omløpsbane. D = Gjenstanden har høy nok hastighet til å overvinne jordklodens tyngdekraft (unnslippingsfart). English: Different trajectories an object can get based on the initial velocity. A = The object falls towards the ground (in this case the Earth). B = The object gets into a stationary orbit around the Earth (orbital speed/velocity).
