English: Tram at Fleetwood Ferry No 40, described as a 'Box' car, was originally in the fleet of the Blackpool and Fleetwood Tramroad, which ran from Talbot Road Station in Blackpool to Fleetwood. This undertaking was taken over by Blackpool Corporation on 1 January 1920, and connecting trackwork laid at Gynn Square. Cars such as No 40 continued in regular use until the 1930s, when Blackpool cars such as the 'Pantographs' 167 to 176 were supplemented by the Brush cars, so that between them, they handled all the workings, and the Box cars became redundant. These cars are of very similar appearance to the 'Winter Saloons' of the Manx Electric Railway.
