DescriptionTrams at Lake Street station, March 1900.jpg |
English: Boston Elevated Railway trams at Lake Street in March 1900. Both cars are marked "Reservoir" and "Newton Boulevard". The right car ran via Washington Street and Huntington Avenue; the left car ran via Beacon Street. (The Commonwealth Avenue line between Chestnut Hill Avenue and Brighton Avenue would not be open for two more months.) At far left, behind the station, is a Commonwealth Avenue Street Street Railway car that ran to Auburndale. |
