Left: A Commer Avenger I operated by Transglobe. The County Borough of Birmingham issued the registration mark JOP 190 in June or July 1949.

Right: A Maudslay Marathon III operated by Greatrex. Staffordshire County Council issued the registration mark RRE 667 between October and December 1948.
