English: Traversing up the north slopes of Stob a'Choire Mheadhoin A ski ascent of a peak in Scotland is always an adventure. On this trip, the snow on the ridge top had been blown off in places, but the north slopes, not the usual way up, had better conditions. There were still icy patches, and on the way back down this bit, we just edged hard and sped on, but the poor dog skidded sideways and lost a lot of height on our traverse line. She didn't seem too bothered, as she had another Munro under her collar, and had, as usual, buried a sandwich somewhere on the top...
