Description
English: Trefoil tower, Eastnor Castle One of four. The castle was designed by Robert Smirke and built between the years 1810 and 1824 in the Norman Revival style. The sandstone comes from the Forest of Dean and was transported to Ledbury by canal and then by mule for the last few miles. It cost approximately £85,000 to build, which is the equivalent of £8.5 million today.
