Summary
editDescriptionTriMet battery-electric bus 3801 charging at Sunset TC on its first day in service (March 4, 2019).jpg | TriMet bus 3801, the Portland-area transit agency's first battery-electric bus, on its first day in service, March 4, 2019. No. 3801 is a 2018-built New Flyer XE40. It is shown connected to the overhead charging apparatus at Sunset Transit Center, the northern end of line 62-Murray Blvd, during a layover. Its paint scheme was not yet complete at the time of the photo; one month later, TriMet added graphics promoting the bus's being all-electric. Four additional buses of the same type were on order and they arrived between April and June 2019. | ||
