Cymraeg: Mae Bryn Alyn yn gopa mynydd a geir ym Mryniau Clwyd rhwng Rhuthun a'r Wyddgrug.
Mae'n enwog am ei balmant calchfaen, yr ail fwyf yng Nghymru. Mae yma olion mwyngloddio a llosgi calch, gwiberod ac ogofâu eitha hir. Ceir tri chopa: gyda'r un agosaf i bentref Eryrys yn 408 metr, a'r ddau arall, gerllaw yn 403 metr.
English: The three peaks of Bryn Alyn - a Site of Special Scientific Interest in Denbighshire, Wales, which forms part of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The area is notable for its limestone pavement, the second largest in Wales. There are traces of mining and lime burning, vipers and quite long caves. There are three peaks: with the one closest to the village of Eryrys at 408 metres, and the other two, nearby at 403 metres. In 1981 artefacts from the Bronze Age were found: two gold bracelets an ignot of gold and an axe with a socket: the discovery is believed to have a religious connection. |
