Description
English: Interior of Tromsø Cathedral (in Norwegian Tromsø domkirke), a wooden Lutheran cathedral in Tromsø, Norway built in 1861 and designed by architect architect Christian Heinrich Grosch in a long church format and in the Gothic Revival style. The photo was taken on 4th April 2019 and shows sunlight shining through the windows on the soutern wall of the nave (kirkeskipet/kirkerommet) with wooden pews/church benches (kirkebenker) and the church organ, built by Claus Jensen in 1863, on the gallery over the front on the western wall. Also seen are chandeliers (lysekroner) hanging from the ceiling and the timber roof truss (takstoler).
