Nederlands: Hoofddoek. Hoofddoek met gedrukte motieven. De betekenis van deze doek slaat op een ruzie tussen twee doktoren, die de gemoederen in Paramaribo lang geleden sterk in beweging bracht. De ene arts, die directeur was van het landshospitaal had de bijnaam koro (kool), de andere was directeur van het R.K. ziekenhuis en heette Dr. Nassi, dat verbasterd werd tot 'anansie' (spin). In die dagen werd er in de leprozerie Bethesda een drieling geboren, die, zoals gebruikelijk, direct naar het Landshospitaal werden gebracht i.v.m. besmetting. De Roomse moeder had echter afgesproken dat de kinderen naar het R.K. ziekenhuis zouden gaan. Vervolgens woedde een hevige strijd om de drieling, aangezien het misschien wel de eerste drieling was die in leven bleef. De directeur van het landhospitaal won de strijd en de kinderen bleven daar tot ze oud genoeg waren om naar een pleeggezin te gaan. Een hoofddoek die in die dagen op de markt kwam, kreeg de naam mee.
Angisa's vormen onderdeel van de dracht van een kotomisi. De koto is een in Suriname ontstane klederdracht die werd bedacht door slavenhouders en hun vrouwen om hun slavinnen 'zedig' te kleden. De dracht bestaat uit een koto (rok), jaki (jak) en angisa (hoofddoek). Aan de dracht kon men aflezen tot welke godsdienst de slavenhouder behoorde. Hoewel vroeger dagelijkse kleding, veranderde de koto later in gelegenheidskleding. De koto en vooral de angisa spraken en spreken een geheime taal (Henar-Hewitt, 1987:35). .
