Nederlands: Pot (onderdeel). Deze pot met deksel en handvat op de deksel is van een kalebas gemaakt. Het is gemaakt om voedsel in te bewaren. Maar het wordt ook vaak voor andere doeleinden gebruikt.
Het versieren van de kalebas met figuren is vrouwenwerk. Het maken en versieren van het handvat wordt juist vaak door de mannen gedaan. Kalebassen vormen een belangrijk materieel element in de marron samenleving. Ze dienen als opdienservies, bewaarbakjes en bekers. Doorgaans wordt de buitenkant versierd door mannen, terwijl vrouwen eventueel dan nog de binnenkant versieren met geografische patronen. Volgens de experts, de Prices, bestaan er vijf soorten kalebassen. kleine kommetjes, waarmee water aan baby's gegeven wordt; twee typen middelgrote kommen met fraaie versieringen, voor maaltijden van mannen; weinig gedecoreerde kommen om rijst mee te wassen, en grote, niet versierde kommen voor ritueel gebruik. Ook worden kalebassen in meerdere stukken versneden tot lepels en spanen (1999:213). Eind 19de eeuw kende de marron-kalebaskunst slechts twee stijlen: kalebasbakken met deksels en kommen..
