Description
English: This is tghe spot where the notice can be read. A notice on an elevated platform states “Where you are now standing there once lay the forecourt of the temple of Athena belonging to the Greek and Roman city of Ilion.” It goes on to describe that the temple has disappeared, albeit there are some remains lying around, when looking down. As a result most of these pictures are just fragments of what may have been the temple. They may have drifted in from elsewhere.
