English: Trujillo, a pirate stronghold, was destroyed several times between 1633 and 1797, and abandoned by the Spanish after it was deemed indefensible during the eighteenth century. / via John Carter Brown Library, Box 1894, Brown University, Providence, R.I. 02912.
