Description
Deutsch: Glasschmelzofen mit Kühlofen in der Abteilung "Waldglaserzeugung" Tscherniheim im 2. Obergeschoss von Schloß Porcia, in dem das Museum für Volkskultur Spittal an der Drau untergebracht ist. In runden Glasöfen aus Ziegelsteinen wurde das Rohglas erzeugt, mit Glaspfeifen aufgenommen, gedreht oder in Holzmodeln geblasen. In Kühlöfen wurd das heiße Glas langsam abgekühlt. Tscherniheim war eine Waldglas-Produktion von 1621 bis 1879 in der Gemeinde Hermagor-Pressegger See in Kärnten / Österreich / Europäische Union. English: Reconstruction of a furnace for melting and cooling of Forest glass in the Museum of Folk Culture in Spittal an der Drau. This type of furnace was in use in the village glassblower Tscherniheim, a place of Forest glass production from 1621 to 1879 in the municipality Hermagor-Pressegger See in Carinthia / Austria / EU.
