Description
Deutsch: Aufgelassener Weingarten in Tübingen-Weststadt, Neuhalde im Westhang des Schnarrenbergs. Im oberen Neckartal war nach der Reblauskatasptrophe und dem Bau von Eisenbahnverbindungen der lokale Wein nicht mehr konkurrenzfähig. Trockenmauern und Steinstaffeln an vielen Berghängen des Ammertals und des Neckartals zeugen von der bedeutenden Vergangenheit in dieser Kulturlandschaft.
English: Old vineyard in Tübingen. Local viticulture did not survive the devastation, the Phylloxera louse did to wine in Europe in the middle of the 19th century. Additionally, local wines could simply not compete, when railway technology opened up markets.
