Description
English: To meet the growing needs of Indian Naval ships at Kochi and to cater for replacement of old, decommissioned tugs, a new 10 tonne bollard pull tug ‘Bahadur’ was inducted into service at Naval Ship Repair Yard, Kochi on 04 April 2019. The induction ceremony was presided over by Rear Admiral RJ Nadkarni, AVSM, VSM, Chief of Staff, Southern Naval Command in the presence of Rear Admiral SN Alamanda, VSM, Admiral Superintendent, NSRY, Kochi and other dignitaries. The vessel has been designed and built at M/s Hindustan Shipyard Ltd, Visakhapatnam and has Steerable Rudder Propulsion with advanced remote control.
