Tuyô (Sardinella fimbriata), uncooked

Summary edit

Description
English: Tuyô is a small salted and sun-dried fish in the Philippines. Tuyô is almost a staple on dining tables across the country and considered as poverty food but also humble food of the rich.
Please take notice that tuyô should not be mistaken with daing (or pinakas in W. Visayas) , almost every single person of the country knows the difference. Daing requires less salt, some with vinegar, less drying time and different type of fish. Tuyô rather uses more salt and is totally dried.
