Summary
editDescriptionTwin railway lift bridges over St. Lawrence Seaway in Montreal.jpg | A side-by-side pair of identical vertical-lift bridges in Greater Montreal, Quebec, Canada, carrying a double-track rail line over the St. Lawrence Seaway. More specifically, the location is in Kahnawake, just across from the city of Montreal proper. The twin lift bridges over the Seaway are on the same rail line as the Saint-Laurent Railway Bridge, which crosses the St. Lawrence River, and are only about 1,200 feet (370 m) south of that longer bridge. In the background (to the east) is the southern section of the Mercier Bridge (road bridge on Quebec Route 138). |
