Description
English: Two U.S. Navy Douglas A-1H Skyraider (BuNo 135332, 139691) of Attack Squadron 145 (VA-145) "Swordsmen" in flight, circa in 1964. VA-145 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing 14 (CVW-14) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Constellation (CVA-64) for a deployment to the Western Pacific from 5 May 1964 to 1 February 1965 and became involved in the first attacks of the Vietnam war starting on 4 August 1964.
  • 135332 participated in the "Pierce Arrow" strikes in August 1964. It was transferred to the U.S. Air Force in 1967 and to the South Vietnamese Air Force in June 1972. It escaped to Thailand in April 1975 and is today preserved at the National Air and Space Museum, Washington D.C. (USA).
  • 139691 was later transferred to the South Vietnamese Air Force and was lost near Dak To, Vietnam, on 16 May 1967.
