Description
English: Two U.S. Navy Douglas A-1H Skyraider (BuNo 135370, 137622) of Attack Squadron 145 (VA-145) "Swordsmen" in flight, circa in 1964. VA-145 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing Fourteen (CVW-14) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Constellation (CVA-64) for a deployment to the Western Pacific from 5 May 1964 to 1 February 1965 and became involved in the first attacks of the Vietnam war starting on 4 August 1964.
  • 135370 was later transferred to the U.S. Air Force;
  • 137622 was later transferred to the U.S. Air Force and crashed in Thailand due to an engine failure on 23 March 1972 while in service with the 1st Special Operations Squadron. The pilot was rescued.
