Description

This coastal battery on the west coast of Denmark was constructed for the German Navy to protect the long stretches of coastline around Furreby, north of Løkken. At the start of 1943 the battery was armed with four Danish 12cm coastal guns in open emplacements while the hardened emplacements for more powerful 12.7cm were completed. By late 1944 the fully protected battery was complete.

The coastline has receeded over 90m since the end of the war, and the bunkers now lie on the beach exposed to constant erosion by the elements.
