Description
English: A U.S. Air Force Douglas A-1E Skyraider is readied for a mission. The aircraft appears to be 52-132668 of the 1st Special Operations Squadron. This aircraft was shot down while attacking bunkers 16 km nothwest of the demilitarized zone (DMZ) and 16 km southwest of Ban Karai Pass, Quang Binh Province, North Vietnam, on 21 July 1968. The pilot, Major Billy M. Mobley (callsign "Zorro 67") ejected and was rescued.
