Combat Engineer and Kankakee, Ill., native Spc. Benjamin Shaw, of the 404th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, Illinois Army National Guard out of Chicago, receives medical treatment from a Botswana Defence Force soldier during a mass casualty training exercise at Southern Accord 2012, located at Thebephatshwa Air Base in Botswana, Aug. 14. SA12 is a combined, joint exercise, which brings together the Botswana Defence Force with U.S. Forces to strengthen their partnership through humanitarian assistance, peacekeeping operations and aeromedical evacuation.
