English: (1862-1873; 1921-1945) Off the Boston Navy Yard, Charlestown, Massachusetts in 1863. Beyond America, at left, is U.S. Practice Ship (Sloop of War) Marion (1839-1871). The Receiving Ship (Ship of the Line) Ohio (1820-1883) is alongside the Yard waterfront, beyond Marion. Some caption information was supplied by Mr. H.F. Morse, Chairman of the National Code Authority for the Building and Boat Repair Industry, in a letter to Mr. Wheater, Bureau of Supplies and Accounts, 19 November 1934.
