English: Philippine Army Technical Sgt. George Ayadi, civil affairs specialist with the General Headquarters, Armed Forces of the Philippines Information Operations Team, speaks with Ate Jhing, council member of the Aeta tribe during “Bayanihan” as part of exercise Balikatan 2014, near Fort Ramon Magsaysay, Palayan City, Philippines, May 8. Bayanihan, meaning "communal spirit" in Filipino, is comprised of food and festivities provided by the Nueva Ecija Cardinals Lion’s Club to the local Aeta families with the support of Philippine and U.S. Army soldiers. The exercise is an annual bilateral training exercise between the Philippines and U.S. designed to foster cooperation and interoperability between the two nations’ armed forces through training as well as humanitarian aid and disaster relief projects.
