Summary edit

Description
English: U.S. bomber batter shipping, shore installations at Menado.
Columns of smoke and a towering geyser of water testify to the fury of an attack of U.S. Navy Liberators upon Japanese shipping and waterfront installations at Menado, on the Northeast tip of Celebs in the Netherlands East Indies. The attack made early in 1945, by planes of the U.S. Seventh Fleet, was one of a series upon the harbor at Menado which is of great strategic importance to the Japanese.
