| Description |
English: Before 1958, Wilkinson Boulevard was the main artery between Gastonia and Charlotte via US 29/US 74; since then that role has been replaced by nearby Interstate 85. So I theorize that this building was built long before 1958. It has the one permanent scale on the ground and digital readouts inside the building. NCDOT does randomly operate the weigh station to catch truckers avoiding the one on Interstate 85. |
