English: St. Lucie Lock and Dam on the St. Lucie Canal in Martin County, Florida, USA. The canal connects the Intracoastal Waterway with Lake Okeechobee and is a part of the Okeechobee Waterway, which cuts across central Florida and connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico. The lock is approximately 15 miles (24 km) upstream from the Intracoastal Waterway at Stuart, Florida. St. Lucie Lock and Dam is one of five locks and dams on the Okeechobee Waterway.
