PUBLIC AWARENESS “No doubt, we are currently facing a severe energy shortfall in the country and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Power Distribution Program’s initiative to motivate the rural public on energy conservation is really appreciated. Furthermore, women attending these sessions are encouraged to adopt these practices in their everyday life.” Multan Electric Power Company Deputy Director Technical D.G.Khan Circle Mian Hasnain Shakeel (Pictured Above) Building Community Awareness for Farmers: The USAID Power Distribution Program is working closely with Multan Electric Power Company to maximize its outreach and brand positioning via multiple public awareness initiatives. In this effort, the Power Distribution Program’s Communications Team launched its farmers’ community outreach campaign, advocating the benefits of energy conservation and the detrimental effects of power theft throughout the distribution company’s rural areas. The objective of this initiative is to not only improve the company’s brand image, but also to create awareness among farmers about the prevailing energy shortfall. |
