(Pictured Above) USAID Strengthens Load Management Capacity in Power Distribution Companies: The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Power Distribution Program is strengthening Pakistan’s energy sector to improve the supply and distribution of power. In this effort, the USAID Power Distribution Program has trained the staff of government-owned power distribution companies (DISCOs) in power load management, which will eventually help in reducing unscheduled load shedding. In this context, the USAID Power Distribution Program organized a two-day training session for all nine DISCOs including Tribal Electric Supply Company (TESCO). Certificates were distributed among the training’s participants. The training was attended by representatives from Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO), Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO), Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO), Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO), Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO), Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO), Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) and Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO), including Executive Engineers, Subdivisional Officers and Chief Engineers Transmission and Generation levels.
