English: Airframe mechanics from Heavy Marine Helicopter Squadron 772 service the CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter to remove the air from its systems. The CH-53E provides heavy lift capability to the Marine Corps and can transport troops and supplies in a fraction of the time that it takes for ground vehicles to do the job. HMH 772 transported 17,000 troops and 3.2 million pounds of equipment while in Afghanistan last year. HMH 772 is training and supporting operations at Javelin Thrust 2010, the largest reserve exercise of the year. |
