DescriptionUSMC-10794.jpg |
English: CAMP BASTION, Helmand province, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan – An MV-22B ‘Osprey’ makes its final approach here, Nov. 6, with it comes the entrance of these new aircraft into the Helmand province. Making more than one bench mark in history, not only are these the first ever Osprey in Afghanistan, they were also the first to be one a ship deployment. After spending time with the Marine Medium Tilt Squadron 263 Reinforced the birds are now transferred to be a part of Marine Expeditionary Brigades-Afghanistan’s aviation combat element.
