English: The Japanese dancers, Hoki Fujimoto, Michiko Inoue and Yoko Doi, performed traditional Japanese folk dances. In ancient Japan, dance was centered on Shinto, the native religion of Japan. It was used to pray and honor the Gods. Michiko and Yoko performed the first dance with Japanese gold fans. All three participated in their second performance as they clapped and moved elegantly to the rhythm of the music. |
