Sumner was reparied after being hit by kamikazes in Lingayen Gulf, Philippines, on 6 January 1945. She is painted in Camouflage Measure 22. The battleship USS Pennsylvania (BB-38) is visible in the background. She was in the yard for an overhaul. |
