English: GULF OF OMAN (Dec. 30, 2013) Capt. Pierre Vandier, commanding officer, FS Charles de Gaulle (R 91), left; speaks with Rear Adm. Kevin M. Sweeney, commander, Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group, on the bridge of the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle. The Charles de Gaulle, flagship for Task Force 473, is conducting operations with the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group to enhance levels of cooperation and interoperability, enhance mutual maritime capabilities and promote long-term regional stability in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
